Healing is an 'inside job'

I am ambivalent about the word ‘healer’, as it seems to imply someone else is holding the key to your health; or holding the power to your healing.

It implies that you don't have the power to heal yourself, that you are not equipped to heal yourself. And so you place your trust in someone else to do the job for you.

The healing relationship, in my view, is a sacred relationship, whereby I am entrusted to bring all my knowledge, and all my heart, in service to my client.

What attracted me to Kinesiology is how it is both a deeply powerful and an empowering form of health care, where the client not only feels the benefits of the healing itself, but also comes away with a deeper understanding of their own body and soul, and is therefore better equipped to heal themselves.
